Presentation and discussion of two recent books on Giovanni Boccaccio: "Boccaccio", a companion to the Italian author edited by Maurizio Fiorilla and Irene Iocca and published by Carocci in 2021 and "Boccaccio's Florence. Politics and People in His Life and Work" by Elsa Filosa, published by the University of Toronto Press in 2022. Besides the author and editors there will be several discussants: Laura Banella (Notre Dame) Luca Lombardo (Bergamo) Kristina Olson (George Mason Univesrity) and Marco Grimaldi (Sapienza).
