In an article published on September 30, 2020 in The Observer, Notre Dame's student newspaper, doctoral candidate in History, Susanna De Stradis, was interviewed about her research on the relationship between Catholicism and principles of American liberalism, which she is currently undertaking at the Vatican Archives. Her research is partially funded by a Peter R. D’Agostino research travel grant through the Cushwa Center for the Study of American Catholicism and the Center for Italian Studies.
