The Center for Italian Studies is proud to share the exciting news that our dedicated student assistant, Nick Pesce, will be graduating next month in Economics and Italian. Nick has been an integral part of our team throughout the academic year, contributing significantly to our operations and initiatives.

During his time with the Center, Nick has demonstrated exceptional dedication and skill, particularly in facilitating the smooth transition of our office to its new location in Decio. His attention to detail ensured that the relocation process was executed seamlessly, allowing us to continue our work without interruption.

In addition to his role in office management, Nick has played a pivotal role in organizing and executing various events hosted by the Center, including our renowned Italian Research Seminars and guest lectures. His proactive approach and organizational abilities have been instrumental in the success of these events, enhancing the academic experience for our community.

Beyond his administrative responsibilities, Nick has made significant contributions to our scholarly endeavors, assisting in the cataloging and organization of our book collection. His commitment to maintaining our resources has been invaluable in supporting research and learning within our Center.

Nick has also served as a gracious and welcoming host to both students and visiting scholars, fostering a sense of community and collaboration within our center. Moreover, he has been an excellent mentor to our other student assistant, Vince Calzante, offering guidance and support.

While Nick’s departure will undoubtedly be felt within our team, we are confident that he has a bright future ahead. We extend our heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to him as he embarks on the next chapter of his journey!
