The Beltrami County Historical Society commemorated the bicentennial of Giacomo Costantino Beltrami's exploration of the Minnesota region, bringing together different worlds and cultures in the celebration. As part of the program at the Beltrami County History Center, John Welle, emeritus professor of Italian at Notre Dame, delivered a talk on Giacomo Beltrami's "Trans-Atlantic Promenade."
