Devers Program in Dante Studies

Devers Dante

The Center for Italian Studies shares resources with the Devers Family Program in Dante Studies at the University of Notre Dame.

The Devers Program supports rare book acquisitions in the John A. Zahm, C.S.C., Dante Collection, as well as teaching and research about Dante across the Arts & Letters curriculum, through the sponsorship of conferences, fellowships, lecture series, and seminars and the funding of research and travel grants for faculty and students.

The Devers Program also initiated the William and Katherine Devers Series in Dante and Medieval Italian Literature. The now prestigious series made its debut with the publication of Dante Now: Current Trends in Dante Studies (ed. Theodore J. Cachey, Jr.) in 1995.
