Biblioteca Ambrosiana Research Awards

Applications accepted on a rolling basis

With the Medieval Institute, the Center co-sponsors the Biblioteca Ambrosiana Research Awards. These awards enable individual scholars or groups of scholars—including graduate students and postdoctoral fellows—to pursue projects in connection with the Biblioteca Ambrosiana and its holdings in Milan and Notre Dame. Please send a C.V., a proposal of less than 750 words that describes the project, and a detailed budget to italianstudies@nd.edu. Cost sharing is encouraged and should be included in the proposed budget. Open to researchers outside of Notre Dame and to Notre Dame faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and graduate students.

Dante Studies Travel Grants

Applications accepted on a rolling basis

With the Devers Family Program in Dante Studies, the Center co-sponsors several travel grants to support research by Notre Dame faculty and graduate students in Italy, but also for faculty and graduate students from other institutions whose research would benefit from on-site access to Notre Dame's special collections on Dante, the Ambrosiana archive, or other of its Italian holdings. For more information, please contact devers@nd.edu.
