The event is a 3-days conference promoted by the research project "Book and Readers in Florence from the 13th to the 15th century: The Library of Santa Croce", along with its partners. The conference aims to explore the culture developed by the Florentine convent of Santa Croce in Dante's times by exploring the ways in which theological culture and devotional practices spread in public debates, preaching, iconography. The program features prominent leading scholars such as Donal Cooper, Dominique Poirel, Sonia Chiodo, Oleg Voskoboynikov, Pietro Maranesi, Corrado Bologna, alongside young ground-breaking scholars. Sessions will be chaired by world-leading experts.
