Dear Notre Dame Students of Italian,

I am writing from the Notre Dame Rome Global Gateway nestled at the heart of the city of Rome in the Celio neighbourhood, just two blocks away from Notre Dame's Villa, the residential living-learning community. Each semester the RGG offers a variety of programs, located throughout the capital city of Italy, home to nearly 3 million people. Students in Rome find themselves in one of the most inspiring places in the world: the Eternal City with its nearly 30 century long history, its archaeological sites, its monuments, its museums housed in Renaissance palaces, its churches and squares, villas and parks will be their classroom.

We are very happy to be getting ready to welcome you in Rome in Fall 2021 for your study abroad program. Please take a moment to learn about the Rome programs through the courses offered at the RGG, including our foundational course All Roads Lead to Rome, our Community-Engaged Learning course, and several Italian language and literature courses counting towards the Italian Minor and Major back on campus. A great variety of internships and co-curricular volunteering activities are integral part of all our programs.

We are looking forward to working with you in the Fall!

Sincerely,

Silvia Dall’Olio (sdalloli@nd.edu)
