Center for Civil and Human Rights Roundtable Series: "Mediterranean Migrations: Precarious Rights" - Maurizio Albahari (Notre Dame)

Tuesday April 23 from 12:30 to 1:45pm in 2172 Eck Hall

Maurizio Albahari is a social-cultural anthropologist teaching on international migration, globalization, and European societies, in addition to anthropology courses at Notre Dame.

Unauthorized maritime migration and its governance engender intersections of rule of law and discretion, security and freedom, justice and compassion, and larger European reconfigurations of sovereignty and human rights.

The CCHR Roundtable is a series of informal discussions aimed at generating and strengthening interdisciplinary dialogue among Notre Dame faculty who work on, or are otherwise interested in, human rights.

Lunch will be served. Please RSVP to Kevin Fye (kfye1@nd.edu) by Monday April 22.
