Michael Kulikowski, Professor, Departments of History and Classics and Ancient Mediterranean Studies, Pennsylvania State University, is a late Roman historian who works on the political and institutional history of the Empire between the second and fifth centuries. He is the author of Rome’s Gothic Wars from the Third Century to Alaric (2007) and Late Roman Spain and Its Cities (2004). His articles have appeared in the Journal of Late Antiquity, Classical Quarterly, Early Medieval Europe, Byzantion, and elsewhere. Prof. Kulikowski earned his doctoral degree at the University of Toronto, Centre for Medieval Studies.
