Guest artist Lonel Woods joins Notre Dame faculty Stephen Lancaster (pictured) and Daniel Schlosberg for an evening of Italian drama and melody, performing canzoni (art songs) and operatic duets from 19th and 20th century bel canto masters such as Bellini, Respighi, Verdi, and Puccini.

Lonel Woods, whose lyric tenor voice has been heard on many of America’s finest operatic stages such as Washington National Opera and Lyric Opera of Chicago, is an active performer of opera, oratorio, and musical theater and serves as Assistant Professor of Voice at Crane School of Music - SUNY Potsdam. Baritone Stephen Lancaster returns to Leighton Hall after performing concerts at the National Recital Hall in Taipei, Taiwan, at the Atlantic Music Festival in Maine, and at Carnegie Hall as guest artist with the Notre Dame Concert Band. Daniel Schlosberg, Artist in Residence, maintains a busy schedule as both a collaborative and solo pianist, recently completing a recording project of contemporary solo works and performing at the prestigious Steans Institute at the Ravinia Festival.
