Italian Studies at Notre Dame occasionally offers postdoctoral fellowships to exceptional candidates. Among the fellowships that have, in recent years, been extended to Ph.D.s in Italian Studies are:
Devers Postdoctoral Fellowship in Italian Studies
A two-year fellowship for postdoctoral scholars who at Notre Dame will be teaching two courses in Italian Studies each semester and pursue research in Italian Studies.
Edward Sorin Postdoctoral Fellowship
The Graduate School and the College of Arts and Letters jointly sponsor the Edward Sorin Postdoctoral Fellowship Program for Notre Dame Ph.D. graduates. This program provides two years of support for new scholars to demonstrate research productivity and develop teaching experience before they compete in the academic job market. Three fellowships are now offered each year.
