Friday November 10 at 9am (EST) in Room 121 of the Information Technology Center

"Re-reading Dante’s Vita nova" is a collaborative research project involving researchers from University College London, the University of Bristol, the University of Cambridge, the University of Leeds, the University of Notre Dame, the University of Oxford, the University of Reading, and the University of Warwick. 

A series of events held over two years, each focusing on a different section of the Vita nova, its contexts and its implications, will produce a vibrant and varied new reading of this text. Lectures are live streamed and discussions are faciliated via teleconference.

Giulia Gaimari: Vita nova chapters V-XII: an overview
Catherine Keen: The rime of chapters V-XII: selection and omission
Jennifer Rushworth: Dante's use of Lamentations in Vita nova VII
John Took: Bliss in abeyance: Vita Nova V-XIII within the context of the whole

10:15am: Break 

10:30am-12pm: Discussion

Scholars from Notre Dame are invited to participate via teleconference at 9am (EST) in Room 121 of the Information Technology Center.
