Opening Reception for Exhibit: "Work in Fresco"

-

Location: Bond Hall Gallery

Prof. David Mayernik has modeled his practice on the Renaissance and Baroque ideas of beauty, craft, and poetics, and a primary example of putting those ideas into practice is his work in the ancient technique of buon fresco painting. He recently completed a cycle of frescoes for a new theater he designed for The American School in Switzerland (TASIS) and for the church of San Cresci in Tuscany.

The reception is free and open to the public. The preparatory drawings and paintings for those frescoes, along with photos of the completed works in situ, will be on display from August 23 to September 17.
